電源 OFF!

I recently did a post about seeing the kanji for “ketai” (携帯) many times in an article about the IPhone vs Android phone. I saw this advertisement and immediately spotted it, learning a new word as well. The kanji for electricity is “電” and the kanji for “source” is "源 "in this ad it said “電源 off!” which is saying “electricity source” off! (でんげんoff!). The ad is talking about the priority seating on trains for senior citizens and pregnant women. Based on the context alone I could say “electricity source off!” and still get the meaning of the sentence. 面白かっただ!
